Dear Families and Staff,
According to county Public Health, we are expecting our county’s Adjusted Case Rate to be below 25 per 100,000 residents by Tuesday. Superintendent Maldonado is recommending to the School Board that we move forward with phased-in reopening of in-person learning for all elementary students, beginning the week of March 1. Updated information will be communicated following the Feb. 23, 2021 School Board Meeting
Hybrid Learning Program Assignment for Spring 2021
We thank you for completing a selection for your child’s Hybrid Program. As a result of parent selections, we have had to reorganize our elementary classroom assignments for hybrid in-person and distance learning options across our elementary schools in order to accommodate family requests for the different models. While some students will remain with the teacher they have had since the beginning of the school year, other students will be assigned to a new teacher who can best support them in their program of choice for the remainder of the school year. We will send a separate notification informing you who your child’s teacher will be for hybrid in-person or distance learning when we confirm the specific date that we will begin hybrid learning. If you have any questions about how hybrid learning will work, please visit our website at sbunified.org and click on COVID-19 Resources. If you need further assistance, please contact our school office.
Governor Newsom announced that beginning March 1, 2021 each county will set aside 10% of their vaccine doses for teachers and education workers. The vaccines will be prioritized for school workers who are returning to classrooms. We are awaiting more details on this new development.

Here are directions on how to register for iPass via the app. Here is a video on how to complete the iPass survey at home via email. Our district office will be providing more training opportunities for families this week. Stay tuned for more information via ParentSquare.
